3-Amino-9-Ethylcarbazole Method For Leukocyte Eroxidase

Fixation

Formalin-Acetone Fixative


Procedure

  1. Fix thin blood films in Formalin Acetone Fixative for 15 seconds.
  2. Rinse gently in distilled water.
  3. Stain in 3-Amino-9-Ethylcarbazole staining solution for 2.5 minutes.
  4. Wash in running tap water.
  5. Stain in Mayer's Haematoxylin for 8 minutes.
  6. Wash in tap water, air dry, and mount in Glycerine Jelly.
