IAF is a range of immersion oils containing an anti-fadent and should be used in the same way as any other immersion oil.

AF87 contains the anti-fadent in a nonfluorescent immersion oil. It is designed for those wanting to work at a high magnification. It is particularly useful for preventing the fading of such dyes as DAPI which have the unfortunate tendency to disperse in glycerol based mountant solutions.
CFPVOH is an aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol for use as a solid mountant. A few drops of the solution applied to your specimen and allowed to dry will produce a clear film.
AF100 is a solution of anti-fadents to be used with CFPVOH when fading of fluorescence in the polyvinyl alcohol is a problem. To prepare a CFPVOH solution containing AF100, add 0.1mL of AF100 to 0.9mL of CFPVOH. If more or less of the solid mountant solution is required, mix the reagents in the appropriate ratio. Once these solutions have been made up, they should be used within a period of days rather than months, since the solutions deteriorate on storage.
Citifluor AF1, AF2 & AF3
In microscopical examinations small amounts of the solutions of AF1, AF2 and AF3 are applied to the slide in the same way as you would if using a standard mountant such as glycerol. A cover slip is applied and then the material examined. If you wish to retain specimens mounted in AF1 or AF2, you need not seal around the cover slip but simply store the slide in a suitable container in the refrigerator.

Set of Citifluor CFPVOH & AF10
CFPVOH is an aqueous solution of poly(vinyl alcohol) and is to be used when the specimen is required in a permanent (solid) mountant. Simply apply the requisite amount of solution to the sample on the slide and allow to dry in the air. If drying is carried out too rapidly, a "wrinkled" film may result.
AF100 is designed to be used with the CFPVOH to give a solid mountant solution, which should retard the fading of fluorescence of fluorescently labeled specimens. The solutions should be mixed in the ration of 9 parts of CFPVOH to 1 part of AF100. The resulting solution, after thorough mixing, may be applied to the specimen and then allowed to dry in air. It is best to make up the solution containing both components when required, as it does not keep well on storage.
