Cresyl Violet Acetate 2% Aqueous

Acetate Buffer

Cresyl Violet Acetate Working Solution

Fixation

Formalin, 10% Neutral Buffered

Sections

Paraffin @ 6µm

Staining

Deparaffinise and carry through absolute alcohol, two changes.
Let stand in absolute alcohol for two hours.
Stain in Cresyl Violet Acetate Working Solution for 40 – 60 minutes.
Differentiate rapidly in 95% alcohol, then dehydrate in absolute alcohol, and clear in xylene, two changes each.
Mount with Permount.
